If you’ve been putting off purchasing one or want to browse this is what you should be aware of.
2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Review
As 2022 is the year that marks 120 years in Cadillac’s history, the Cadillac brand, company is celebrating with a special edition of the 2023 CT5-V Blackwing. Appropriately dubbed the 120th Anniversary Edition, Cadillac is only making–predictably–120 examples. But it’s not restricting the CT5-V’s regular Blackwing production until 2023. As long as the dealers don’t close the order records, Cadillac will build as the number of units as they would like. As for dealerships, at the time of the moment, Cadillac isn’t revealing when its initial 2023 CT5-V Blackwings will be arriving there. According to the GM Authority, 2023 CT5 production will begin on July 11, 2022, in GM’s Lansing Grand River manufacturing facility. The CT5-V Blackwing’s Corvette-based engine is built by hand elsewhere however, the supercar is built in Lansing. Therefore, assuming no problems with the supply chain, Cadillac should start making the 2023 version simultaneously with the other models. If you’re looking to purchase the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing it will have to wait for at least July 11th. If you’re looking for an anniversary edition of 120 years it’s a good idea to get out camping now since one has already been available.
2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Release Date & Price
As of the time of moment, Cadillac hasn’t released pricing information on this year’s 2023 CT5-V Blackwing 120th Anniversary Edition. But, it’s certain to cost less than $250,000 that the previous model was able to collect during a recent auction for charity. Cadillac hasn’t yet released pricing details for the standard 2023 CT5-V Blackwing as of yet. According to the GM Authority sources, the 2023 model will begin at $84,940 following delivery and freight costs. This is a bit less expensive in comparison to those of the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing that currently starts at $85,390 following destination.
While a lower start cost is a welcome thing, however, it could be due to some changes Cadillac has made to its 2023 CT5-V Blackwing. GM Authority states that four colors–Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, Infrared Tintcoat, and Dark Emerald Frost are off the list of options following 2022. Additionally, the Driver Assist package will be available for automatic Blackwings. It’s not offered on manual CT5-V Blackwings. This is because certain features don’t work with manual transmission. While some shades have been discontinued, some new shades are replacing them: Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Maverick Noir Frost. This shade is matte paint, similar to Dark Emerald Frost. Since these are high-end colors, they’ll come at an additional amount. Based on the CT5-V Blackwing pricing structure, the metallic colors are likely to cost $625, while Radiant Red will probably cost $1225. Because it’s a matte color, Maverick Noir Frost will cost you more at 3925 dollars, GM Authority says. Furthermore to that, there’s a possibility that 2023 CT5-V Blackwing will come with at least one additional option. As of the moment, we don’t know whether Cadillac will be offering the 2023 CT5-V’s brand new Bronze Accent Package with the Blackwing. But, it will provide its 120th Anniversary edition’s enclosed transportation alternative for models that are regular. Like privately-owned shipping, price is dependent upon the amount of distance that is between the factory and the destination.
One thing that isn’t going to change will be what’s going to happen with the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V’s Blackwing’s speed. The RWD supercar will be equipped with an engine that is supercharged and an electric motor. It will therefore be as quick and enjoyable to drive as the 2022 version which was the Road & Track Performance Car of the Year finalist. The CT5-V Blackwing isn’t the fastest car. On straight, smooth, grippy pavement the Dodge Charger Jailbreak runs a faster 1/4-mile. An EV such as a Tesla Model S Plaid or Porsche Taycan Turbo S hits 60 mph faster. But neither of them has the option of a manual. Even with a manual, the top Caddy beat out the higher-priced AWD M5 CS at the C&D’s lightning Lap track. In other words, even though some things have changed with respect to the 2023 CT5-V Blackwing however, the speed remains the same.
