Engine & Hybrid
While there have been some modifications to the body, however, the engine lineup remains the same. The basic configuration comes with an inline-three turbocharged drivetrain. We’ve come to know these from the Blue Oval company. In all classes, turbo engines have smaller than a dozen cylinders. However, it is expected that there is a possibility that the 2023 Ford Escape is going to come with the option of a four-banger. Its 2.0-liter turbo engine is a good 250 horsepower and a torque of 280 pounds-feet, which is a 70-hp/90 Lb-ft increase over the 1.5-liter engine.
2023 Ford Escape Hybrid is the most efficient crossover on the market. The primary power source is a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-pot gasoline engine. When coupled together with an electronic battery the engine produces 200 horsepower. It’s the perfect match in the small crossover market. In addition, fuel efficiency is receiving an enormous boost. The vehicle is rated at 44 mpg in the city, with FWD. When driving on the open roads it is its 2023 Escape Hybrid is rated 37 mpg when it comes with all-wheel or front-wheel drive.
