2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition Review
Its 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet America Edition is modeled on the 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, but it’s been outfitted with specific options and aesthetic enhancements that distinguish from its normal cousins – 1933 356 America Roadster inspired the build specifications. America Edition boasts red, blue, and white coloring along with aesthetic enhancements made to Porsche’s exclusive Manufaktur. Azure Blue was selected as the principal exterior color, with the convertible top being black. The windshield’s surround is Satin Black (this is the first Type-992 with this exclusive style). Also the white wheels that have the Guards Red pinstripe are also an original offer by the manufacturer (the previous production Porsche equipped with wheels in white was 2011’s Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0).
The main color of the interior is black. the hue that was selected because it is the best way to highlight the distinctive Guards Red and Pebble Gray two-tone stitching accents (Porsche states that gray was chosen because the stark white contrast was too bright). Standard features include 2-tone stitching of the seat, the center console (where “America” is embossed on the armrest) and distinctively illuminated door sills (with the words “commemorative”). The optional interior package includes contrasting stitching on the steering wheel, the shift boot, as well as a Guards Red pattern on the shift lever. Porsche even coated the keys Azure blue to complement the color of the vehicle.
In the rear of the frame is Porsche’s renowned twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-6 engine designed to produce the power of 473 horses and420 pounds of torque. Porsche offers only its manual gearbox that has 7 speeds as well as back-wheel drive for this exclusive model to highlight the market for drivers in the Americas. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) Sport is standard fitment and comes with Sport Exhaust as well as it comes as part of the Sport Chrono Package. Options include rear-axle steering as well as Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB).
