2025 BMW X3 – The process wasn’t too difficult. In the few days since spy photographers took pictures of the latest BMW X3 for the first time, an artist who is not a professional attempt to use digital technology to peel off the camouflage.
It’s clear that the possibility of an official announcement is not likely to happen by the closing of 2023 however, we’re betting on a worldwide premiere within the early months of 2024. Since the vehicle was fully disguised, it was a challenge to discern what was happening behind the cover. However, the prototype appeared to be built upon the CLAR platform, whereas the next-generation iX3 will be able to switch to the exclusive Neue Klasse technology for EVs.
2025 BMW X3 Review
The in-progress X3 was equipped with quad exhaust tips, but it was not an X3 M. What’s the reason? because BMW has already installed this more powerful exhaust setup on M Performance vehicles, with a suitable example being the brand M760e, which is the latest model. The M135i facelifted and the first-ever X1 M35i has been observed with a quad-tip configuration and it’s likely to be being added to “M Lite” models. The images below, which are not official renderings, show depict the 2025 X3 with quad exhausts and a more streamlined headlight design based on 3 Series LCI.
It is also believed that it is believed that the M Performance model will be moved from the existing X3 M40i moniker, in order to get that of the “M50i” designation. It suggests a boost in power over the 382-hp version currently available, but it is unlikely to come any as powerful as the 523-hp X5 M50i. BMW is still working on an all-fat X3 M, rumored to be internally referred to in the company as “G97.”
BMW’s distinctive kidney grille isn’t much larger compared to the latest X3 that’s a great thing. In fact, we believe it may be smaller, at the very least than the prototype that was first revealed. The design is still recognizable, but it is incorporating the most recent BMW design language that features cleaner surfaces, prominent forward and back fenders, and slightly boxy wheel arches similar to the previous. Also, we can see the introduction of a new set of alloy wheels that feature an enhanced version of the five-spoke classic design.
On the rear, the taillights appear to be fake units that hide the signature LED on the design. But, we were expecting that they would be smaller than those on the current X3, emulating the angular design that the model X1 has. We can nonetheless see the quad exhaust pipes with a rounded shape, and the rear spoiler that extends hinting at a performance-focused variant. In this respect, the information we have received suggests that the prototype in the photo is the M40i model which is a step lower than the full-blown X3M.
2025 BMW X3 Future
We’re not aware of the specs of the forthcoming X3 but we think that it will share its structure along with the 3-Series. The vehicle is expected to be available in ICE-powered plug-in hybrid and completely electric (iX3) models, much as the current model, however, with cleaner and more efficient engines. This is consistent with BMW’s policy to offer a variety of alternatives for each model, however, we’re assuming that it’ll be the final X3 that has an ICE underneath the hood prior to when the Bavarian automaker switches to fully electric.
It is believed that the German luxury brand is planning to offer the redesigned X3 with a range of diesel, gasoline, and plug-in hybrid engines which will join the zero-emissions iX3. The next-generation X4 Coupe-SUV, it is believed to be named “G46” and apparently has an SOP date of 2025. An X4M (G98) will launch in the future.
